Mexico
Lyrics
I’m sittin’ in the kitchen counting things that need done today,
My list is getting longer but, my energy if fading day by day.
I look at, the wintery sky and I watch the piling snow
And all I think about is, MEXICO.

Sittin’ on the sand, with a CERVACA in my hand
Feelin’ the sun beating down on me
While that Latin beat runs through my veins, it’s one sweet sweet sound
And I smell tropics, as the snow keep falling down

Gotta get a move on things won’t get done all by themselves
Still gotta feed the horses and get, my butt to work before the clock strikes twelve.
I look out the window and I watch the falling snow
All I can think about is, MEXICO.

Sittin’ on the sand, with a TEQUILA in my hand
Feelin’ the sun beating down on me
While that Latin beat runs through my veins, it’s one sweet sweet sound
And I smell tropics, as the snow keep falling down

Pull yourself together girl, there’s dishes to do and bills to pay.
Still gotta do the shopping you were, suppose to get that done yesterday.
As we put on our toques, and face the Alberta snow
All we can think about is, MEXICO

Sittin’ on the sand, with a CHI CHI in our hands,
Feelin’ the sun beating down on me
While that Latin beat runs through our veins
It’s one sweet sweet sound
And I smell tropics, and I smell tropics, and I smell tropics,
Sigh……

Sittin’ on the sand, with a CORONA in our hands,
Feelin’ the sun beating down on me
While that Latin beat runs through our veins
It’s one sweet sweet sound
And I smell tropics, and I smell tropics, and I smell tropics,
As the snow keep falling down.

Dreaming about Mexico, when reality outside is cold and snowy, and work is piling up.

Written during a snow storm, so far this is our only drinking song. Hmmm? I know we've had alot of practice in the past. I guess we just can't remember it that well. Thank God for thirty something!
