Rombs Country & Bluegrass Jamboree
Wowzer! That's just one of the comments we received after having performed at this fantastic festival just north of Fairview, Alberta. It was our first time at the jamboree, now in it's fourth year, and what a great time and a great venue. Greg, Ed, Al and Rob played fabulous (as always) and Dana and I had an absolute blast on stage performing our songs. We love outdoor festivals and the audience was very appreciative of our music. Can't wait for next year... I think we'll stay for the entire weekend!
Music Conference and Songwriters Workshop with Duane Steele
It's just around the bend...the 1st Annual Peace Country Music Industry Conference & Songwriters Workshop with Duane Steele. We are hosting the event in Peace River on June 14th & 15th, 2008 at the Belle Petroleum Center in Peace River. Look on the Menu Bar to find more information on it.
CCMA Award Winning Artist Sean Hogan called today!
We are excited to let you all know that Sean Hogan called and asked us to open for him and the Open Throttle Band at the Grand Opening of the Belle Petroleum Center. We meet Sean at the 2007 CCMA's and opened for his Country Christmas Concert in Dec 2007. SEAN HOGAN ROCKS!
It's all good!
Well, it's been a while since we've updated you all on what's been happening with No Limitz, I guess that's because so much has been happening we haven't had time!

After attending the CCMA's last September, we organized and hosted the Country Christmas Tour show with Sean Hogan, Duane Steele, Samantha King, Julian Austin and Greg Hanna. It was a huge success and is now booked for three days this coming December!! From that, we are now in the planning stages of hosting a songwriters workshop with Duane Steele sometime this spring - when all of our schedules line up - here in Peace River, stay tuned for that.

In February, Dana and I headed down to Calgary to record three new songs and to pump up two songs on the I Know What I Know... disc. Stay tuned to your local country radio station in the next coming months to hear our very first radio release I Know What I Know...and that's not everything! Needless to say, we are excited!! You can also check out what kind of new sounds we are making by going to our myspace page at www.myspace.com/singnolimitz and listen to one of the new songs we recorded called Come On Over. It's a song that originated from our bass player Rob from a groovin' bass line he had going, we added the lyrics and well, just go listen, we guarantee you will LOVE it!

And oh yes, one more thing, we are very pleased to announce a new member to our band! Greg Corcoran, local musician extrodinaire joined us in February and has added so much more color and fullness to our live sound.

It just keeps getting better and better, thanks to all of our fans for your continuing support. Please sign our guestbook or drop us an email - we would love to hear from you!

WCMA's in Moosejaw
Still pumped about the CCMA's in Regina in September, we headed off to Moosejaw for the Western Canadian Music Association conference and awards, October 18-21. There we soaked up all the information we could at the various sessions that were offered, and after a long day of taking notes and networking we were able to enjoy the fabulous entertainment provided by many, many different bands and individuals. Moosejaw provided a perfect setting to the many venues that were hosting musicians. We met tons of new people, made some great new friends and made fabulous memories. Check out the photos page for a couple of peeks at our weekend!
Heading to Regina to the 2007 CCMA's
Heading down to the CCMA's Sept 6-10 in Regina to take in all the workshops, chum with friends like Sweet Tequila, Brett Kissel, Jo Hikk, and others plus meet a bunch of new friends. We are looking so forward to this weekend. We will give you an update and new photos when we return.

***Recording NEW CD*** Heading to MCC Studios
It's booked! We (Sherry, Dana and the Band) are all heading to Calgary in May 2007 to start recording our next album at MCC Entertainment Studios. With a whole new collection of original songs along with the contribution of Allan, Rob and Ed, the genre of this CD is wide open. Classic rock songs, country two-steppers, ballads and even a blues song. We describe it as a musical yukkaflux. The engineers at MCC studios have worked with George Canyon, The Roadhammers with Jason McCoy, Jo-Hikk, Ghost of a Modern Man and many more.
We are so excited and working hard to get ready for this next endeavor of our musical adventure. Keep an eye out this summer for the CD release party!

No Limitz set to record their next album!
Yep, you read that right - Sherry and Dana, along with their band members Allan, Rob and Ed - will be heading down to Calgary in early May to record a whole new offering of original tunes. This CD promises to live up to and exceed their previous work "Dreamin' Big", with a fuller sound and all the harmonies and feel good songs you have come to expect from the girls. Sherry and Dana feel that this is the next logical step in the path of No Limitz and are very excited about sharing their new songs with the world!
International Songwriting Competition
Cross your fingers! One of our new songs, "I Know What I Know...and that's not everything", has advanced into the next round of judging in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition. As the title suggests, this contest has over 14,000 entries in all categories of music from all over the world, so making it this far in the contest is quite an achievement for us. Yay!

It turned out great, and you get to see a bit of our beautiful Peace Country here in Northern Alberta. Check your local listing for the times.
Happy New Year 2007
Sherry and Dana want to wish everyone a wonderful New Year!
BIG News for DREAMIN' BIG
We recently entered our title track song "Dreamin' Big" in the Song of the Year Contest and it was chosen as a RUNNER UP for the month of March, Honorary Mention in June and a FINALIST in October!!! Since the song became a Finalist, it was forwarded to different publishers, artists, record labels, producers, ect.! We are so excited. Go to the LINK page check out the link!!!!
Evening of the Arts
We performed at the 2nd annual Evening of the Arts at the beautiful Misery Mountain ski chalet November 4,2006. There is so much talent in the north it will knock your socks off! Being surrounded by all that amazing art, vibrant colors, and the other fabulous performing artists was inspirational.
Olweus Anti-Bullying Campaign
We were asked to sing in a couple of schools in Peace River for the Olweus Anti-Bullying Campaign. Since Sherry and I are very active in our local school we were excited to help share the message of friendship. We wrote and performed a song specifically for this event, which is not yet titled, but it is now in high demand and requests for the recording from different organizations. We also sang a song that Sherry and her son Mason wrote together called “Be a Friend”. This song has been Mason’s School ‘s theme song for three years now. We now have a new fan base of about 700 children! How awesome is that!
R.C.M.P. Heritage Muscial Ride
This fall Sherry and I had the honors performing the opening act for the R.C.M.P. Musical Ride and sing the national anthem. We were amazed by the talent and beauty of these well bred horses. The Mounties rode with such precision and the horses danced like it was second nature. Many people in the audience were delighted with the complicated formations and riding patterns they performed.
Sherry & I loved singing for an audience of around 3000. We got to sing in the back of my pick up truck. It was so cool…like a big tailgate party. Check out the photos in the photos link.
Filming of Hank Williams First Nation - TV Series
Now we don't know how we got so lucky...but filming Aaron Sorensen's APTN TV series Hank Williams First Nations felt like a dream! We ( Sherry, Dana, Al(acoustic guitar) & Rob (bass guitar) appeared on TV singing one of our new songs, I KNOW WHAT I KNOW AND THATS NOT EVERYTHING. Ya we know it's a long title...but you'll remember it from now on won't you. The added bonus is when we found out that they were going to pay us for the use of our song!

It was an amazing day. Not only did we get to perform on TV but we got to hang out with the cast which included Sheldon Elter from Canadian Idol ( He's a local Peace County Boy) and Gordon Tootoosis (from Legends of the Fall) and many other amazing actors and actresses. PLUS we got to meet Ian Tyson! We were his opening act in the TV series.

You can catch it on APTN on Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons this fall. The series repeats itself again in the new year. Our episode should be on Jan 27,2007 and Sunday Jan 28, 2007. Check your local listings for the time. Hope you get to see it.
July 2006 - Peace Fest
We'd have to say that playing at Peace Fest 2006 10th Anniversary in Peace River, Alberta was one of the highlights of the year. This performance was part of the reason why we (Dana & Sherry)decided to put a band together to back us up. After all...if you're going to open for Johnny Reid you better have the best show you can put on! I can proudly say we did the locals proud! The amount of support and kudos we received after Peace Fest was more than we could ever imagine. Most of our fan base didn't realize we put a band together - and we blew them away! Our whole band had so much fun! Now the phone is ringing, this is the start of something we never imagined. But the bottom line is...we are having FUN.
